Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura Oasis

You begin your 4 Days Tour from Marrakech at 8:30 AM with a beautiful drive south out of the city. When going through the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka pass, you’ll see beautiful views and visit Berber settlements. In the middle, you’ll visit Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a well-known World Heritage Site and spot for famous movies.

The trip then moves on to Ouarzazate, also known as the “Door of the Desert,” where you’ll see the old Taourirt Kasbah. At the end of the afternoon, you will get to the restful Skoura Oasis. Living among palms and ancient Kasbahs, you will first stay in a guesthouse that gives you the real Moroccan welcome.

Day 2: Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

The tour of the Valley of Roses will begin after you have breakfast on the terrace, with the palm grove as a backdrop. You’ll see how local rose cosmetics are produced from the area-unique Damask roses. After the visit, you will eventually see the Dades Valley, a famous area for its eroded stone and protected settlements.

You’ll stop in Tinghir in the afternoon and enjoy walking through the beautiful Todra Gorges. Once you’ve enjoyed the canyon, you’ll continue to Merzouga through the villages of Erfoud and the Tafilalte oasis. Once at the desert, a ride on a camel will bring you to Erg Chebbi so you can witness the beautiful sunset. Enjoy Berber music and sleeping in a nomad tent, then see the stars shine above you in the quiet desert night.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Draa Valley – Agdez – Tamnougalt

You will start your third day with an enjoyable camel trek into Merzouga to watch the sunrise. When the tour resumes, you will travel toward Rissani which was once home to Morocco’s ruling family. The road continues into the empty but beautiful land of Alnif, leading you eventually to the green Draa Valley, Morocco’s largest palm area.

When the day continues, you will arrive in Agdez which is tucked right after the valley’s entrance. Relax in this tour by spending 2 hours discovering the palm groves and fields, having conversations with the local farmers and journeying to Tamnougalt Fortified Village. You get a real taste of the lifestyle found in Southern Morocco during this cultural experience. Today, you will enjoy your rest in a kasbah hotel full of local traditions and views of nature.

Day 4: Tamnougalt – Ait Saoun – Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech

You’ll enjoy a picturesque drive along the Ait Saoun Mountains on your final day of the tour via the Tizi n’Tinifift pass. During your trip, catch views of great rocky landscapes, old villages and dramatic desert cliffs. Enjoying a traditional meal in Ouarzazate can be as easy as stopping for a meal in a local cafe or by staying with a Berber family.

After eating, the tour heads back to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains. You’ll make breaks to marvel at the scenery and remember the amazing moments on your trip. After a full day, you’ll be driven back to Marrakech, where your tour will finish with a delivery to your chosen accommodation. Your wonderful 4-day Sahara desert adventure draws to an end here.
