Casablanca Day Trip

Day one allows for your first visit to an essential landmark of Casablanca starting with the Hassan II Mosque. It is an impressive building located on a hill which rises above the ocean, in the western coast of Great Britain. It has beautiful flooring in mosaic and a beautiful minaret along with interior marble work. And during the guided tour you will get to know its cultural importance and how it was built with elaborate work.
Next you should go to the Corniche Ain Diab a beautiful coastal road. A leisurely walk through the coastal area is possible now, where people of different ages and nationalities come to enjoy the sea cool and the view on seashore. If the visitors arrive in the morning, they should grab a cup of mint tea, or even a croissant at one of the numerous cafés with an energetic and lively mood.

Move to the next stations and go to the ultimate destination, the Quartier Habous or known as the New Medina. This is a lovely neighborhood featuring old Moroccan architecture with a mix of French colonial architecture. Stroll through the cobbled alleys with craft stores, book stores or even bakeries. Definitely try out Moroccan baked goodies; chebakia (almond-stuffed pastry cookies) or honey-soaked shebakias, for instance.
Then it is time to go to the Market of the Central where people of Casablanca come and do their business. Wander through shops with different fruits and vegetables, spices, meat and fish, and arts and crafts. Shop from friendly traders and get acquainted with Moroccan markets characterized by a bright colored and fragrant atmosphere.

Casablanca’s downtown district has an Art Deco aesthetic, so travel there for your shooting. Nominate the handsome buidlings along Boulevard Mohammed V embellished with stucco work, geometric designs, and wrought-iron balconets. For some beautiful architectural structures one can pull over at the Cinema Rialto and the Hotel Transatlantique and marvel at colonial architecture’s remnants in Casablanca.
From there, proceed to the Royal Palace that gives and boasts of well designed gardens and magnificent iron gate. Alas, the actual palace is closed to visitors; however, you can make a nice photo outside of this rather majestic building as well as enjoy the beautiful decorations of the territory.

A great idea of how your day should end is a dinner at an authentic Moroccan restaurant. Try tagine, couscous, or pastilla with mint tea – a delightful staple beverage of the country. During the meal, consider what you saw as historic city, and what you saw as a vibrant cosmopolitan city of Casablanca.
Ending your Casablanca visiting tour, you might want to walk again along the Corniche or sit down in one of the local cafes before returning to you hotel with a sheaf of mesmerizing impression of the Moroccan city.
